I feel terrible for having not updated in so long!!

Hallo, everyone! 'Tis your absent-minded captain,

I am terribly sorry the administration aboard my vessel has been depressingly lax recently.

I for one, have been quite busy of late, but I will do my best to get on more and sort you all out.

Here's what's been going on:

1. The competitions have been a little...weak as far as number of entries goes, so what I might do is postpone another one until people start submitting more deviations to the club. Once we have some deviating going on, I'll start up another competition.

2. The crew roster will be updated very soon. I realize that we have a few members not on there yet, but the other admins and I will do our best to keep you all in order. IMPORTANT: IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR ICON OR USERNAME ON THE LIST, PLEASE LET US KNOW! We will get you up there ASAP.

That's about it. I hope you all hang tight as our luvverly vessel The Siren's Call comes out of the doldrums. Let's postpone a mutiny as long as we can, awright mates?

Special effects: Excessive? Annoying? Awesome?
Costume designs: Intricate? Good? Overdone?

Feel free to rate the film on a scale of 1-5 (5 being awesome) but please be courteous to your crewmates and keep the details to yourself.

I, for one, have not yet seen the film.

Also, a supposed early draft of the Pirates 3 script is circulating the Internet. I honestly have absolutely no idea whether it's real or not, but just to be safe, I'm not posting the link.
I would hate to be giving you inaccurate information.

By the way, Hans Zimmer is writing the music again for this one [he wrote the PotC 2 music... sorry, Badelt fans!].

If you're really interested, a quick Internet search should yield some fairly satisfactory results.

Here it is!!! Your brand-spanking new competition!

This competition is for either writers or artists, as we have plenty of both in our crew.

Read the new story in our gallery and then:

Write a continuation or prologue to what is there

OR

Design either a picture of our ship, The Siren's Call or a figurehead for it.

One prologue and one continuation* will be chosen, and one of each the ship and the figurehead (if we have enough of each) will be chosen as well.

GUIDELINES:

-Must be original work
-(story) Must mention The Siren's Call and some crewmembers from the club - names can be either an adjustment of their username or made up

-(picture) Must have short description as to why you think it's suitable. nothing too long, just a couple of sentences.
